There were a bunch of new faces at this month’s NH Media Makers meet-up. There were writers, web developers, comic artists, marketers, radio people, and more! There were lots of new and interesting projects and ideas! Click here and scroll down to read more about who dropped by!

The most recent meet-up was held at Podcamp NH. Many of the attendees had never been to a NH Media Makers before, so there were lots of news face and projects. We did a speed through of the normal meet-up but it was still a lot of fun. Check the comments to find out who showed up!

Randy Thompkins just finished his Winter Star album for Important Records. He is also starting Device, a collaborative multi-media exquisite corpse on Oct 1st. He is also looking to start a record label. Think small press to pay for music videos, vinyl pressing, etc. Looking to launch five bands. He’s putting together a Kickstart proposal to support the project.

Glenn Gardner filmmaker, producer, and writer is currently working on a script. In 2006, Glenn won the Palm D’ore at Cannes for Sniffer, produced in Norway. He is excited to meet local talent.

Tara Walker (graphic and visual designer for print in the web) is looking for zombies! She is coordinating with the Portsmouth Halloween Parade to produce a Thriller Dance. She’s lined up instructors and will be filming a makeup workshop for the web with Dan Freund. Join the movement!

Kevin Baringer is involved in Podcamp NH which is coming November 7th and 8th! He is also excited to be launching Bare Arts to promote local artists of all flavors with video and an online art gallery.

Gabrielle La Montaigne is a writer of poetry, stories, and songs, animation/song. She is also Kevin’s 15 year-old daughter.

Susan Kougall is a filmmaker turned screenplay consultant and author.

Jon Briggs stopped by NH Media Makers to see friends. Yay!

Brian Paul is an improv comedy and web series actor. He is performing Boston Improv Festival tonight with Stranger Than Fiction and BP and the Buj. He’s working on a rap album with Jon Briggs, Phil Kliger, and Emily Briand.

Community radio host Phil Kliger is currently selling advertising for The Wire. He has also impregnated fellow NH Media Maker (with the goal of creating the cutest baby in the world).

Bryan White, editor of Cinema Suicide, is working on “How to Survive the Strange” a web series with John Herman. He also has a ten-page zombie comic being prepped for Terminal Press.

Tim Somero is a writer, photographer, and moderator for the NH Flickr group, fostering community around local photography. He is also a tech writer who is looking for a change.

Sadi Khan is a writer and musician. He works with hand drums, piano, session vocals, etc. He is looking for music collaborators.

Sean Myers is interested in comedy and video.

Nick Edgar is working on video for a non-profit Surf Rider organization, doing a Pat’s Peak video, and has worked on a RED camera film (coming out soon!).

PT Sullivan is a set photographer, band photographer, etc. He has a show debuting at Portsmouth Museum Fine Arts. He showed the group one of the photos that was censored from the exhibition. He is also hosting a new web series and working with Oscar, Emmy award winner Ernest Thompson.

Bill Sawyer is involved in the NH Masons. He’s promoting an open house on radio, TV, etc. Needs help, will pay.

Nick Plante is a self-employed web programmer, author of tech writing and surreal fiction. He’s interested in film making and comics. He is involved with the Rails Rumble i.e. 48 hours to build a website, 200 teams. A group from Columbia won with the site: hi.im Working on co-working space.

Leslie Poston, co-author of Twitter for Dummies, runs UptownUncorked specializing in promotion for musicians. She does a lot of social media for business. She also works on Filmpop.tv helping films find success (like Crooked Lane, a fun paranormal short). He is also lead organizer for Podcamp NH, November 7th and 8th at the New Hampton School. Podcamp NH is looking for session leaders, sponsors, schwag, etc. Also she runs Social Media Breakfast. The 9/25 theme is Community Building. Leslie is hiring web designers. Needs help, will pay.

Roger Goun is a wonderful photographer (take a look around the NH media Makers blog for more of his work), software engineer, and political enthusiast.

E. Christopher Clark is the editor of Geek Force Five, dedicated to the five things you should absolutely geeking about on a daily basis. Looking for artists to create headers for the site. He is also co-created All Things Out Loud with John Herman October 12th the event will be at Studio 99 in Nashua. Looking for readers! Working on a book version of his web based short story collection. Finished a novel this morning!

NH Media Makers host John Herman recently became a father, is continuing to write a young adult novel, finished executive producing the documentary Team Hannah with Media Power Youth, will screen at the NH Film Festival and Newburyport Documentary Film Festival. He shot another web commercial for the state’s business blog.

Eric M L’Ecuyer is a writer who will write anything but romance. One of the co-founders of the Deep Thought writers group in Milford that is breaking into satellite groups in Nashua and Manchester. Finished a novel and looking to shop it. Writing his third novel about a guy who pays off student loans by being a hitman.

Local playwright David Marriello wrote and co-produced his stage play “Just Say Love” as a feature film with Bill Humphries and Stage Wright Films. Looking to spread the word. Has a distribution deal. The film debuts October 22nd at The Music Hall of Portsmouth as a benefit for The Players’ Ring Theater of Portsmouth. David is challenging himself to create a viral buzz about the sublime and spiritual nature of his film.

Tracy Singer is an actor, singer, dancer, and dance instructor. She’s performed at many of the local theaters. Acted in RED camera production The Kingsmen’s Redeemer.

Tammy McCraken is a writer, photographer, event coordinator for Toadstool Bookstore in Milford. Looking for events! Musicians/authors/filmmakers take notice! She has the space to make it happen.

Gregory North will have two of his paranormal romances be distributed on the Home Shopping Network. He’s written for Star Trek: Voyager, Sci-fi Channel, and a book about Buffy. He’ll write everything but westerns. He’s also worked on an unemployment pilot that sounded very interesting.

John Pittman is trains hunting dogs and grows carnivorous plants. He is working on mediated toynbee (street art tiles with bar codes scan-able by your phone that takes you to real Toynbee tile messages). He is also trying to put together multi-media Lovecraftian fan fiction documentary scientific installation called The Goat Island Project. He is also interested in wearable tech after talking to Angela Sheehan here at NH Media Makers.

Charlie Faria recently moved to Newmarket. He would love join projects and meet people.

Alex Hayes is a copywriter and author of Zydeco Shoes: A Sensory Tour of Cajun Culture but describes himself as stuck in the business world. Always interested in creative collaboration.

James Patrick Kelly has written 5 novels, 80 stories, and teaches at the Stonecoast MFA program His next book is the Secret History of Science Fiction coming out in October. he writes a column for Asimov’s Science Fiction magazine. Tracy Lee is a photographer. She runs the NH Flickr Group featuring new photographers daily. She hosts meet-ups. She’s working on a fundraiser for music in the schools at Studio 99 Nashua. It’ll be karaoke on October 29th!

Todd Norwood is a filmmaker with a traditional background who wanted to test out New Media. He launched a weekly web series called Meet the Mayfayers. He reports that he is a believer. He just signed a deal for distribution. Check out the series at: www.Mayfarers.com

Carla Companion, fondly known as the Beer Babe, recently got a great day job bringing together research scientists and educators together to concept map their ideas. She is really passionate about online collaborative learning. Heck, it is rivaling her passion for beer (even though she did just recently create a network for beer bloggers)

Emerson film student Kyle Glowacky updated everyone on his upcoming film: Ioka. Kyle is shooting the film in nine variations, each representing a decade of the theater’s history. The movie itself utilizes film tools of the cinema’s past. He showed everyone one of the cameras he is using to produce the film.

Zach Smith is a local architect who also works with graphic design and photography. He is so local that he often is found working right here in Crackskulls.

Matthew Newton is the director of the NH Film and Television Office. While admittedly new at New Media, he is quickly learning about ways filmmakers can leverage networks to promote their work. He encouraged NH filmmakers to keep him in the loop about their projects so he can both support them and spread the word.

Doug Bozek is a freelance videographer, interested in cinematography. He loves composition. In 2000, he did a movie called The Popes (featuring Bigfoot!). He also shot a documentary about the “Kids as Peacemakers” program. He collects The Blues Brothers memorabilia, knows Avid/FCP/Premiere, and is looking to get involved in some projects.

Sarah Low is a local photographer who shot Kruceck’s Garage in 2004 (her photos were hanging in Crackskulls during the meet-up). She described how she incorporated metal pieces from car trash heaps and junk cars into the photo frames.

Emily Briand just graduated with social work degree. She is also an actress looking for projects. Check out her work at Gravityland, Odd Noggin Land, and the 48 Hour Film Project. Recently she returned from Ireland where she took care of sheep.

Cassy Warren is an artist currently drawing 20 to 25 pieces for Artstream. She is also getting involved in the History of Human Desire project that matches photos and writing.

Kirk Membry runs Moss Creek Media, specializing in super cool panoramic photography. He showed everyone his new gear: a pan tilt radio-controlled camera head. Cool stuff!

Dan Freund is a shooter, editor, web developer, and video collaborator. He created Shortstream.tv (a community based media network) with John Herman. He is streaming video from the WSCA radio station every Friday morning. Check it out.

Angela Sheehan of The Fuzz Depot Photoshops shoes by day and makes fleece houses for chinchillas by night. She loves splitting her time between the Internet and the sewing machine. She is interested in mashing digital technology and textiles.

NH Media Makers came together on a sunny July day. We ate ice cream and shared ideas about Social Media, creative content, art, music, and more. There was the announcement of a brand new web series, Meet the Mayfarers, and the debut of regular attendee Leslie Poston’s newly published Twitter for Dummies. She even gave away a signed copy! E Christopher Clark, editor of Geek Force Five, is finishing his novel and raising money through Kickstarter to self publish it. He is currently wrapping up his 01824 series of short stories. Check out his site to catch up!

Leslie Poston just published Twitter for Dummies. She also just finished her speculative fiction piece, The Smokers. She reports that Podcamp NH (October 24/25) is still looking for a venue (which is a huge opportunity for a venue that can provide the space! –editor). She is also working on Online Social Profile: Asset Of The Future (w/ Jim Keenan), an ebook (with Alexa Scordato) on collaborative economy, and FilmPop.tv with Amy Greenlaw. Leslie also hosts Social Media Breakfast NH.

Amy Greenlaw introduced everyone to FilmPop.tv with a video from their latest client, Chase Bailey of Crooked Lane Amy is busy Twittering, blogging, etc. for the upcoming film. And, by the way, Filmpop is looking for a designer/developer.

Roger Goun is a political geek, software engineer, and photographer working on photo show and putting together a book. He provides the NH Media Makers blog with much of its wonderful photography.

Kelly O’Keefe <—- Kelly promised her link will soon work. She is a graphic designer that recently spoke at Pecha-Kucha Night on mixed media illustration. She is open to new opportunities.

Media Makers host John Herman is screening his 48 Hour Film Project submission, The Way They Were Inside, at the Red River Theatres of Concord. Along with a million other fun things, he’s producing the web series Odd Noggin Land, media literacy events with Media Power Youth, and producing web videos for Square Spot Design.

Phil Kliger has started live streaming his WSCAFM radio show, 10am until noon on Fridays. He’s also making rad-vertisements for Carbee Soy Gesso with local artist Marshal Carbee.

Brian Paul is an actor and improv comic. He’s performing with Stranger Than Fiction every Tuesday night at the Players Ring Theatre. He is also developing a rap album under the moniker 37 Paper Cranes. By the way, he plays the role of Cheeseburger on Odd Noggin Land, the winner of the 2009 Best of NH web series award.

Todd Norwood has a traditional film background but he’s produced Meet the Mayfarers, a new web series following the adventures of a very unique family. He’s also creating two new web series about time travel and super villains respectively.

Nick Plante is a web application developer at Nth Metal Interactive. He’s also a writer and creative who enjoys embracing constraints in the creative process. He’s developed a 48-hour web development competition that over 200 people have already signed up for. He’s also developing a Twitter-based party game, sequential art and comics. By the way, he hosts the NH Ruby User Group the 3rd Thursday of every month.

Avishay Artsy produces Word of Mouth on NHPR, Noon to 1 PM Monday to Thursday. The show follows new trends and ideas. Check out the show on Facebook and Twitter. Avishay is looking to improve social media presence and get questions for guests. He also wants to get musicians into the studio.

Writer Randy Tompkins recently finished a novella. He also is involved in the band Winter Star that participated in the RPM Challenge this year.

Eric Lecuyer is a writer who hopes to be published soon. He’s looking for an editor and graphic designer for the book he’s currently looking to get published. He co-founded the Deep Thought writing workshop in Milford. He is writing a book about a guy who works for a company that specializing in insurance for giant monster attacks.

Brian Sullivan is looking to create a podcast or radio show about media in the area. He plays guitar. He also does theatre tech/lights/sound at Players Ring. He is interested in experimental music and music of many genres.

Tara Walker is a graphic designer for print and the web. She loves designing websites. She will be opening a gallery in Dover. She especially wants to get a dance instructor to teach her and others the Thriller dancer for the Portsmouth Halloween parade.

Dave Seidel from Peterborough publishes strange music that is available CC on his site. Invites media makers to use his music as long as they give credit. He also distributes the source code of the music. He has a Net Label release via StasisField.com and plays bass in Sisters and Brothers in the Monadnock region. Actaully, he plays every third Thursday in Keene at The Starving Artist. It’s a free show. Stop by!

Kirk Membry is a panoramic photographer with Moss Creek Media. He has an idea for a NH Media Makers summer vacation day, in talks with Mount Washington Cruise Line, Funspot. How about that?!

Dan Freund of Kinney Hill Media Partners. He’s debuted Shortstream.tv to fill the whole for the lack of community access TV in Portsmouth. He encouraged content producers to submit programming to the channel. He’s trying to secure funding for a web series involving Dartmouth engineers developing formula race cars. And he’s interested in promoting and advancing media making in the region.

“Danfranciso” Ratcliff is into sound and lighting. He’s focusing a lot of energy on a wild show with a diverse aesthetic. Think intelligent lighting control meets electronic light show. A few bands in Burlington are already interested in the project.

Steven Bobbett recently moved from LA. He’s interested in acting, folk music (even scored Of Mice and Men). He works out of a studio in Rollinsford where he does copywriting, illustration, and web design. He also works with local businesses like Simply Green. Check out his time travel web comic Wormhole!

Arlon Chaffee, founding member of Lamprey Arts Cultural Alliance, discussed the upcoming redevelopment of the Newmarket mills, specifically the inclusion of a cultural civic center.

Jeremy Couturier illustrates for many of the NH Media Makers including PT Sullivan, Odd Noggin Land, and more. He let out of the bag that he’s working with Nick Plante on a werewolf Twitter game. That’s right: werewolf. You heard it here first.

E Christopher Clark, editor of Geek Force Five, told everyone about an invite-only community-based fund-raising site called Kickstarter.com Chris has invites available. He’s hoping to fund quality equipment for his podcast-novel’s ultimate publication. He also hopes to use the equipment to help others. Meanwhile he is publishing weekly stories on the web, and he’s co-hosting (with John Herman) a new reading event called All Things Out Loud.

Bryan White, editor of CinemaSuicide.com, introduced everyone to SubRosaDriveIn.com, a guerilla drive-in movie project that starts this Friday weather permitting at 9pm with the screening of Pump Up the Volume. He’s still looking for future locations:  non-residential, big wall, out-of-the-way, parking available. Ideas?

Louis Cappalaris is a computer dork by day, nature photographer and documentary worker by… other days. He’s going to India later this year and moving to California in July. Incidentally his photos are currently displayed on the wall of Crackskulls.

James Buchannan is a ghostwriter for books on leadership and business technology. He is interested in the political outcomes of the Internet. He’s writing memoir about surviving cancer. Also he’s recorded interviews with people from the International Brigade  (Spanish fighters against Nazis before WWII began) — two members of which formed the “Social Justice League” in NY, then went on to go fight the Nazis and later recognized as “premature anti-fascists.” Check out more about James at www.orchardwriting.com

Dave Seah is a freelance blogger and installation artist. He recently designed an interactive display installed at a holocaust museum. He’s looking for projects. He is interested in investigative design, looking to translate between tech-speak and what users want.

Kyle Glowacki is a student artist and filmmaker attending Emerson College. He recently made a documentary on the Squamscott River. He’s currently making a documentary about the Ioka Theater on 16mm film. He processes the film himself. He’s currently fund-raising. Northeast Historic Film is his fiscal sponsor, and he is also writing grant letters. He hopes his film will be done by December. He’s looking to organize film-screenings in Swazey Park. Members immediately suggested he connect with Bryan White.

Brian Sullivan is an observer and consumer of media.  He does theatre tech/lights/sound at Players Ring. He is interested in experimental music. He has some ideas about compositions/improv frameworks and would be open to collaborators.

Tara Walker is a graphic designer for print and the web. She’s interested in doing a series of large canvases of Portsmouth in the style of Japanese wood-block prints. She’s looking for a venue to show them. Also she’s involved in a collaborative project exchange with media maker Scott Yates: web-design for wedding photography.

Kevin Baringer is looking to create an online symposium for the arts integrating a web gallery with a web TV channel. He’s looking for collaborators.

NH Media Makers host John Herman was under slept because he was in the middle of the 48 Hour Film Project. He was also speaking about “Inspiration through Collaboration” at Pecha Kucha Night Worchester later that night. He was also hosting All Things Out Loud at Crackskulls that Monday night. Tuesday night he was performing with improv comedy team Stranger Than Fiction (an 8-week improv comedy class tught by John is currently open for registeration). Thursday night he was hosting the grand finale of the Energy Smackdown. Friday night he was attending a graduation… You get the picture. He’s busy. He explained that he is always looking for collaboration even though he’s often hard to get in touch with.

Michael Niemczyk is a reader and writer. He’s been a college teacher for a number of years, newcomer to the area getting back into creative writing. He’s mostly writing memoirs of growing up in Catholic school. He was an extra in John Herman’s recent 48 Hour Film Project submission.

He co-founded the Deep Thought writing workshop in Milford, and he’s looking to add Manchester Barnes & Noble as venue. He’s inspired by Douglas Adams, HP Lovecraft, and Chuck Palahniuk.

Carla Companion writes about craft beer at as the Beer Babe… but she also works at the Seacoast Science Center  as an exhibits intern. There is a huge exhibit opening featuring a 32-foot humped back whale skeleton. Carla just finished a degree in Environmental Education and she’ll be blogging about how we teach environmental education and conservation psychology. Sharon Harvey is here to woo the media. PT Sullivan is a NH Magazine photographer and go-to-guy. He encourages people to email the magazine about cool projects, but he reminds everyone that notification needs 1.5 months ahead of issue release. He collaborated on an upcoming episode of Odd Noggin Land. He’s working with White Bridge Farm Productions on a movie to be filmed in NH. He encouraged everyone to attend them Portsmouth Museum of Fine Arts (warning: instant music on that site!) grand opening on 6/27. By the way, the museum is looking for web-designer that will let them maintain their own site. Contact PT directly for this. Actually PT knows another place (Masonic Lodge) looking for a web-designer. Meanwhile he’s developing College of Beer, an interactive site educating people on science of making beer.

Jason Bourassa is a brewer who owns Kettle-to-Keg a homebrew shop. He’s working with PT Sullivan on College of Beer. He wants to make brewing more accessible. He also mentioned that he just got screen printing equipment for his business to manufacture t-shirts. He will do shirts for others as well, up to 4 colors.

Dan Stampone is a transplant from Westchester, Pennsylvania, a home repair specialist, graphic/web-design, and soon-to-be a local teacher. He’s working on College of Beer as well as his own site Beermath.com which is a collection of math calculators for brewing.

Scott Yates saw Good Will Hunting last night (twice). He is a photojournalist for Seacoast Media Group which just merged content (mostly sports) with Fosters Daily Democrat. He is thankful to do what he loves every day and get paid for it. He encourages people to check out Backstage Pass where he works with local musicians, records audio, takes photos, etc. He is working on Photoscript with Hillary Wentworth & Justine Graykin where anyone can write prose in response to photos he posts. He is also working with Tara Walker in a barter: website for wedding photography.

Larry Clow is a writer for The Wire, CinemaSuicide & Geekforce5.com Recently he was featured on GeekForce5 due to his exploration of the Bacon Explosion i.e. weaving bacon into a mat with 2lbs of Italian sausage, more bacon, 3 hours of grilling, and likely death from heart attack.

The NH Media Makers celebrated their 1-year anniversary meet-up in style. The meet-up was a packed house! There were lots of new faces and old friends. Door prizes included a DimDim web conference pro account, The Good Beer Guide to New England and a beer from Allagash (donated by the Beer Babe herself), t-shirts from Thumprint Studio and Cinema Suicide, two albums by local musician Jon Briggs, a Bode Miller documentary (donated by its director Bill Rogers), and signed books by local authors Justine Graykin, E. Christopher Clark, and James Patrick Kelly. Keep reading to discover who else stopped by to celebrate NH arts and business on the web!

Laurie A. Couture is the author of Instead of Medicating and Punishing, a book about parenting and education in industrialized cultures and how best to move back to natural ways of parenting and education. She and her son Brycen were recently seen showing their support in the efforts to the Save the Ioka.

Brycen Couture is a choral singer, musician, writer, and small business owner focusing on the production of unique stuffed animals called Feendz.

Bill Rogers is a film/web video producer focusing on climate change solutions through his fun and informative Now or Never project. He also directed the Bode Miller documentary “Flying Downhill” as well as a film chronicling a state institution called “Front Wards, Back Wards.” Bill is participating in the the NH 48 Hour Film Project.

Bill Hurd is a wedding photographer, biodiesel advocate, and Mac IT guy. He is involved with Seacoast Local Fest held on June 7th. He also encouraged photographers to contribute photos for exhibition at SeacoastLocalPhoto.org Bill blogs at SonicYellow.com

Kirsten Reynolds is an installation artist (and mom!) recently featured in the inaugural Spotlight New England exhibition at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester. She’s interested in time-lapse video of the construction process as performance. She does lots of illustrative images on top of landscapes and is thinking of animating them.

Rob Sylvain is the author of Photoshop Lightroom 2 for Dummies. He tweets for iStock Photo and is looking for contributors to the site. He is also a member of the National Association for Photo Shop Professionals and Seacoast Camera Club. He blogs at LightRoomers.com

Justine Graykin is a speculative fiction writer and co-founder of ArtSpider. She announced that ArtSpider is close to settling on a web designer. The group will be hosting a big arts event in Northwood on June 13th and they are still looking for artists to get involved. Justine shared her belief that traditional publishing is broken. She seeks avenues for new media publication, including online video and audio. She shared a video-reading from her novel Archimedes Nesselrode.

Carla Companion writes about beer at Beer-babe.com She’s involved in social sites like the Pink Boots Society, Beer for Chicks, the Aleuminati, and Women in Beer. She also plugged an upcoming NH/ME Craft Brewers Festival. She is interested in the way the media portrays women. She’s even thinking of creating of a web video contest for women who enjoy craft beer.

Eric L’Ecuyer is an aspiring writer finishing his 2nd novel. He wants to make the reader say, “Did I just read that?” with his bizarre fiction and unlikeable protagonists. He is the co-founder of Deep Thought, a writing workshop that will meet the 3rd Friday of June at the Manchester Barnes & Noble.

Jacquelyn Benson is directing “Crush Depth” (a play she wrote) at the Players’ Ring Theater in September. Actors take note: the theater is holding an open audition for ALL the 2009/2010 shows the weekend of May 30th. Jacquelyn also encourages everyone to go to Massify.com’s Killer Films competition and vote for “Over Easy.”

Jim Kelley is a science fiction writer, author of the 2007 Nebula winner, Burn. He was nominated for the 2008 Nebula –but lost two weeks ago. He just completed the 75th episode of his FreeReads podcast. Also, the June issue of Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine honors the 25th anniversary of Jim’s first publishing in that magazine. His next book is a collection that he wrote with John Kessel (who ironically won the 2008 Nebula Award) called Secret History of Science Fiction. It argues that there is little difference between the science fiction genre and mainstream writing and that sci-fi is the same quality as other genres. Look for it in September!

Leah Creates is a mixed media artist, photographer, and web designer/developer. She currently has a show at the ELLO gallery until June 1st. She also revamped NH Media Makers host John Herman’s website.

Cassandra Warren is an artist and illustrator. Her work is also currently featured at the ELLO gallery. She is also looking forward to a July show at Studio 27.28 in Philadelphia and an auction benefiting the SPCA. Details to come.

Jason Tublewicz is a videographer, FCP/AVID editor with a background in action sports video production. He’s done a tone of work, including stuff for Steezin.tv He just shot a recruitment video for the Kingston Fire Department.

Dan Freund wears lots of hats. He’s a Drupal developer and a VFX producer. He is constantly exploring new content production and distribution opportunities. He mentioned an upcoming cool party in North Andover at an even cooler blacksmith shop.  He hires Jason (above) whenever he can.

NH Media Makers founder John Herman was named a “top web influencer” by the Ford Motor Company and given a Ford Fiesta (to be released in America summer 2010) to test drive for 6 months. Recently he also joined forces with non-profit media literacy group Media Power Youth as an emerging media consultant and trainer. He encouraged everyone to check out new content at Odd Noggin Land He also challenged filmmakers to join him in competing in the NH 48 Hour Film Project in June. He also invited everyone to attend the Seacoast Local Fest on June 7th where he will be joining improv comedians Stranger Than Fiction in a zany live action game of Pac-man. Finally, he mentioned that he and his wife are having a baby in September!

P.T. Sullivan is a (Nikon pro status) photographer and writer. He shoots for NH Magazine. He’s working with Ernest Thompson on an upcoming film.  He’s also potentially working on a John Herman / Ghost Hunters collaboration this summer. He has a show at the Portsmouth Museum of Fine Art (corner of Bow & Daniel St.) He is also developing a College of Beer website.

E. Chrisopher Clark is an author, family historian, and geek. He is releasing serialized stories from his last book, Those Little Bastad’s. He attended Free Comic Book Day last week and gave away copies of his story, The Tale of Old Silas. He looking for in-person events for Geek Force Five to sponsor. Marc Dole is from Hatchling Studios. He is currently working on Mito-Kids, a feature length documentary about kids (his daughters) with mitochondrial disease. He already has attracted distribution interest from HBO & two fundraising orgs in CA.  He is also competing in the 48 hour Film Project (that’s three independent teams represented at NH Media Makers!). He will be using a RED Camera and Nikon D90 for projects this summer.

Jeremy Couturier is an illustrator and new dad! He is working with Justine Graykin on illustrations for her novel. He is also producing a monthly web comic for Odd Noggin Land. He’s always looking to collaborate.

Paul Foster is a local filmmaker. He made Grey Branches. He has a bunch of short and feature scripts available. He used to be script reader at TriStar. He is looking to collaborate with filmmakers on his scripts or others.

Hillary Wentworth is a non-fiction writer who has recently written a memoir. She is working with Scott Yates on a photo/writing project. They are looking for more writers. She also has a strong editing and proofreading background.

Nick Edgar is a freelance filmmaker and photographer working on short projects including a grind house picture that could use some help (zombies anyone?). The RED picture he shot earlier this year is in post-production. He’s looking to get into music videos and other collaborative efforts.

Phil Kliger is a radio deejay at WSCA and musician. He provides the music and words for Odd Noggin Land.

Jon Briggs is a scientist and musician. He also plays Fries on Odd Noggin Land.

Joseph K. Murphy is a music composer and audio engineer. He just produced a jingle for UNH Health Services. He teaches guitar and loves Macho Man Randy Savage. Seriously.

Brian Spielvogel is a photographer and graphic designer. He played the rainbow bear in the video that helped John Herman win the car. He is working tech for Stranger than Fiction’s comedy shows this summer every Tuesday night. He has a few domains that may come to life very soon. Seriously this time… maybe.

John Pittman is an IT guy by day. He trains dogs and breeds poison dart frogs by night. Several weeks he got an idea that he shared with the assembled group. It involved Toynbee files as QR Codes: 2d barcodes (invoking URLs from cell phones). It blew our minds. He has a blog covering the idea’s development: mtoynbee.com

Scott Orlosk describes himself as reasonably clever and very lucky. He has the ability to help projects determine whether or not they will succeed (with a good history of success). He is working to marry his organizational/planning strengths to the arts. Specifically he is looking for commercially viable models.

Art Murphy is from Thumbprint Studios, specializing in audio, video, and live event music production. Currently he’s looking for camera people to film concert events. Recently he filmed two nights at the Muddy River Smokehouse, and he has three upcoming nights scheduled.

Louis Cappalaris is an intra-structure architect for IBM, nature photographer, and documentary photographer who will have work on wall at Crackskulls very soon. He is working on an online presence.

Scott Yates is a Scorpio. He is also a photojournalist for the Portsmouth Herald working hard to try to stay employed. He dabbles in sound, video, and photography, sometimes all together. He’s working with Hillary Wentworth on Pictoscript, a process where he throws her a photo and she writes something inspired by it.  He’s looking for other writers to do this as well.  He’s also a music photojournalist working on a project called Backstage Pass.

Suki Casanave is a non-fiction writer (Yankee Magazine, UNH Magazine, Smithsonian, Washington Post, etc) overcoming a slight New Media phobia. She’s been on both sides of editing chair. She also heads the Newmarket Heritage Festival.

Kevin Baringer is interested in creating an online art gallery and community portal called Bare Arts Media. He is also developing a community access online TV channel. He took copious notes during the meeting. John Herman used many of his notes to create the very report you are reading. Thanks Kevin!

Kirk Membry is from Moss Creek Media, specializing in panoramic photography. He showed us a powerful shot of the recent fire in Alton. His work is currently being exhibited at the Studio of Photographic Arts in Manchester.

Bryan White is apparently among top 1500 filthiest mouths on Twitter. He is the editor of Cinema Suicide. He participated in Free Comic Book day at Jetpack comics in Rochester, joined the League of Tainted Tea Drinkers, and is recording the Wages of Sin-ema podcast. He was also recently credentialed to cover the Rock and Shock Horror Con!

Bodhipaksa is a meditation teacher turned publisher of audio books. He’s also a writer and web-designer who loves Twitter.  Recently he’s gotten a lot out of teaching meditation to state prison inmates. He is also an adoptive father soon to bring home a newly adopted son from Ethiopia.

Brian Turnbull is still looking to develop a co-working space in Portsmouth called PortForward. He’s also a software engineer working his way to websites.

Leslie Poston is from Uptown Uncorked. She announced two new companies. FilmPop.tv (with @AmyGreenlaw) is indie film meets social media. Next up: SocialMic.us (with @mathurrell ) is local music meets social media. 1st gig is in Boston on June 3rd! Hopes to average 10 bands in a night while providing a crash course on online marketing for bands the night of the show. She is the co-author of Twitter for Dummies which comes out June 3rd .

Zach Pike is a writer, animator, and contracted director of animation at Hatchling Studios. He teaches classes in illustration and digital art at York County Community College. He is working on a screenplay about a psychic detective in the Irish mafia! He also made the new website for Crackskulls.

Roger Goun is a photographer, political geek, and self-described trouble maker. He’s working on a NH seacoast photo project, and he’s looking to collaborate with writers.

Kevin Micalizzi is the community manager at DimDim. He’s producing a series of free webinars on the topic of employment. He’s looking for content providers on resume building, etc He is also on the team to produce PodCamp NH this fall!

Dennis Kleinman is a documentary filmmaker. His last work Alaska’s Extreme Machines was for the National Geography Channel. He gave a shout out to Jason who shot the Kingston Fire Department video that Dennis produced.  He also gave a shout out to Phil who hosted Dennis on his family friendly radio show (Dennis co-wrote the Reading Rainbow theme song!).

Desmond Haupt is a filmmaker from Keene looking for assistant editing/PA work. He’s put together a disabled sports documentary with the hopes of creating an ongoing series. He’s also working at Cheshire TV with martial artists.

Ashley is a photographer who works at Crackskulls. She makes a mean Chai Charger. She also had the honor of selecting the door prize winner!

E. Christopher Clark is the editor of Geek Force Five. Formerly billed as the “five most notable manifestations of awesomeness in a geek’s universe,” GFF will now offer “five loaves of geekery delivered fresh daily” in order to keep it more current and spontaneous. GFF just wrapped up its first annual March Madness tournament, in which 64 geeky topics battled it out, with Star Wars triumphing over The Beatles in the final round. Chris will have a table at Free Comic Book Day in Rochester on May 2. He’ll be selling copies of his book “Those Little Bastards,” with half the proceeds from sales going to Social Media for Social Change.

Director Bill Rogers of the Coruway Film Institute, Now or Never Media and producer and star of the “Bald Guy on Climate Change” films spoke briefly about Twitter, which he’s been using to find people interested in climate change. However, he wonders how people are using Twitter, whether as a broadcast platform, a way of interacting with other people, or some combination thereof.

Laurie A. Zachary Pike is an animator; he’s currently teaching illustration and digital art at York County Community College and thinking about going back to get his Master’s in Fine Arts. He’s also working on a screenplay, tentatively titled “Ink,” about a psychic detective in the Irish mafia.

Chase Bailey is a producer/writer/director with Left Bank Films, a production company based in Paris and Portsmouth that produces independent films. Chase is currently working on the short film “Crooked Lane,” a psychological thriller in the vein of “The Sixth Sense.” Left Bank focuses mainly on independent features but also produces short films.

Justine Graykin is a speculative fiction writer who’s currently working on podcasts of her most recent novel, “Archimedies Nesslerod.” Two chapters of the book are up, and she’s working with her husband, Larry, to record to rest. Justine hopes to create an audiobook version of the novel as well. She’s looking for other alternative venues for getting her work out into the public. Justine also does readings in the greater New England area with Broad Universe (broaduniverse.org).

Along with the recording of Justine’s book, Larry Graykin is working on getting artspider.net off the ground. ArtSpider is a site that will connect all the NH arts communities, so that writers, musicians, illustrators and so on can collaborate with each other and find new audiences. He also likes to compose music and has been working on background music and recording for Justine’s podcast. At the moment, the ArtSpider FAQ is live at artspider.info and Larry hopes the main site will be live sometime in the fall.

Documentary filmmaker Dennis Kleinman’s latest film “Alaska’s Extreme Machines” premiered last week on the National Geographic Channel. It’s about “Alaska and manliness—big Alaskan guys doing stuff in tough environments.” He’s working on a series called “Extreme New Hampshire” and is also developing a video game for Sega.

Brian Paul is a performer with a focus on improv comedy. He’s in a lot of online shows, most notably Odd Noggin Land, a surreal musical web series about people with food items for heads, where he plays Cheeseburger.

Graphic designer Tara Walker is newly unemployed, but most recently worked as the marketing designer for the William Arthur stationary company in Maine. Her full page ad for William Arthur can be found in the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. She also recently wrote an article for Geek Force Five on Cut&Paste. She can often be found at Breaking New Grounds with her yellow laptop, or online at tarawalker.net.

Leslie Poston can be found on Twitter @geechee_girl and at uptownuncorked.com. She just sent “Twitter for Dummies” off to press. Leslie also recently started the Social Media Breakfast in NH, and so far, an average of 60 to 80 people show up each month. The last one was held at UNH, and the next Social Media Breakfast is slated for May 15. She’s looking for speakers on inbound or viral marketing. Leslie’s also working on Podcamp NH, along with Nick Plante (@zapnap), Amy Greenlaw (@girlgamy), Christine Major (@cmajor), and John Herman (@johnherman). They’re looking for all sorts of help. Leslie is also starting a side project with Amy Greenlaw called Film Pop, which will promote and market independent films online. It’s so new they don’t have a website yet. Uptown Uncorked is also going through some changes this summer, and Leslie is looking for graphic designers, web designers, programmers familiar with PHP and Ruby on Rails who might be available toward the end of the summer.

Andrew Pinard is a full-time performer who’s been making a living lying to people for 19 years. Among his many projects, he performs sleight of hand entertainment for corporate and resort audiences. His original musical, Fantasmagoria Cabaret (fantasmagoriacabaret.com), was recently premiered in Concord . He has a number of other projects in magic and lectures on con games, cheats, swindling and other topics. His touring exhibit, The Strange Thing, can be found at thestrangething.net. He’s also been traveling around the country interviewing veteran magic performers and creators in Continuum, a segment for the DVD video series Reel Magic Magazine (reelmagicmagazine.com) and is waiting for iTunes to approve it for sale as a movie. He’d like to try work with artists and presenting organizations to create a circuit to promote the work of, and provide performance venues for, NH performers, writers, and authors. Eric Lecuyer is a writer who dabbles mostly in fiction. He’s currently working on his second novel, which he hopes to have finished by the end of the spring, edited by the end of the summer, and off to an agent or publisher shortly thereafter. He also dabbles a bit in poetry, short stories and has a couple screenplay ideas. Eric is the co-founder of the Deep Thought writing workshop that meets at Toadstool Books in Milford the second and fourth Friday of each month. Deep Thought can be found on Google Groups. Eric is also part of the Monadnock Writing Group that meets in Peterborough the third Saturday of each month.

Bryan White is the editor of Cinema Suicide, a daily digest of horror/cult/B-movie/trash cinema news, reviews and commentary. In addition, he’s at work on a couple of screenplays; one is a sort of H.P. Lovecraft-in-the-mountains/Manly Wade Wellman feature (that won’t be produced) and the other is a script for a zombie movie that’s basically Reservoir Dogs with zombies. He recently started a column for Sound on Sight, a Quebec-based blog/podcast site. His column is called The Weekly Body Count. Bryan’s also looking into starting his own podcast with Larry Clow and Steve Calebro.

Photojournalist Scott Yates lives in Newmarket and works for the Portsmouth Herald and Seacoast Media Group. He’s primarily interested in music and you can find him most sunny days in Market Square attacking the buskers on the street and producing audio recordings. He’s online at http://scottpyates.blogspot.com. Scoott’s looking for some creative non-fiction stories to go with some of his photos and he’s also available for freelance gigs.

Desmond Haupt is eager to get back in the field of film add video production. One project he’s always been interested in is a documentary for recent amputees. An amputee himself, Desmond has done martial arts and other extreme stuff and thinks it would be interesting to produce a documentary showing the possibilities that amputees have. He’s interested in taking on any sort of film jobs and is willing to travel.

Brian Moreau is looking to get involved in any sort of media he can. He prefers film and is willing to work behind the scenes, act and anything else. He also does some writing, including poetry and short stories. He’s on Twitter at @macvulpine.

Mike Focarra is the owner and director of Shoe Some Films. They recently produced a music video for The Minus Scale and hosted a premier at Buoy in Kittery. They’re in production right now on a horror movie about the birth of the Jersey Devil (they’ll be blowing up a (fake) pregnant woman sometime this weekend, if anyone wants to help). Mike does different projects throughout the year and is always interested in working with people.

Science-fiction writer James Patrick Kelly spoke briefly about the New Hampshire Writers Project and how the beginnings of the NHWP were a lot like the beginnings of NH Media Makers and wonders how NHMM will grow in the future. . Next Saturday, he’s heading out to L.A. For the Nebula Awards (he’s been up for the award 11 times and has won once). Jim handed out copies of a CD recording of his story “Don’t Stop.”

Writer Jacqueline Benson is mostly working on stage and screen productions. She has a documentary premiering at the Beijing Film Festival this year and has a couple other projects coming up that she can’t discuss yet. She’s working on a couple film projects with Mike Foccar. One project she’s currently seeking help on is a film about ghost stories – specifically, true ghost stories that take place somewhere between Kittery and Brunswick involving locations that people can go out and actually visit.

Kevin Baringer does web development as well as some acting and tech work at the Players Ring in Portsmouth. He’s working on a long-brewing side project called barearts.net, an online art gallery for local independent artists. Kevin’s also keen on starting up a local access internet channel and is looking for ideas, feedback and other thoughts. He’s on Twitter at @kbaringer and at kevinbaringer.com.

Marc Murai is the executive producer and director of NH Theater Live (on MCAM 23). He recently moved out here from California a year and a half ago and is an Emmy and Peabody-winning producer. Marc is signing a preliminary intent to purchase agreement for the Ioka Theater in Exeter and is working on putting together a business proposal to help save the theater. It’d be a tragedy to filmmakers and the community to lose it, and Marc hopes to come up with a business plan and grassroots campaign to help save the theater. He also wants to find people willing to document this effort so that it may become a resource for other communities around the country looking to save old movie houses. Larry Clow is a freelance writer who writes for a number of local publications, including The Wire and Foster’s. He also writes reviews for Cinema Suicide and occasional pieces for Geek Force Five.

Kevin McLitzi is the community manager for DimDim. He’s been a social media/web guy for the last 15 years and is helping Leslie set up the Social media breakfast in NH. He’s looking to get in tune with the media makers scene in NH.

Matthew Craig spoke about xiph.org, an open-video initiative put together by the W3C standards board. It’s a multimedia format that allows users to view video content without downloading codecs or third-party programs. It’s already in upcoming versions of Opera, Firefox and Safari, and it will make sharing content easier for artists. Matthew is talking about Xiph at the Open Video Alliance Conference in New York in June.

Jen Hogg is an illustrator and graphic artist. She’s also a member of the Exeter Arts Committee and helped organize an upcoming shoe called Buds and Blooms at Exeter Town Hall. She reminded everyone that the space at the town hall is open to the public as long as it has to do with the arts, and anyone interested in using it can contact the arts committee.

Illustrator Jeremy Couturier is working with Justine Graykin on illustrations for her novel. He’s also working with Jason Baraza and PT Sullivan on the College of Beer website and recently licensed some of his artwork for some handbags. Jeremy has a shop on Etsy and can be found on Facebook, Twitter and other locations.

He hosts the NH Ruby Usergroup (see sidebar) and is putting together a co-working collaborative space in Portsmouth with Brian Turnbull. He’s also recently focusing on weird web projects, and he welcomes ideas.

Melissa Scott is a science fiction writer who teaches creative writing online. She’s looking new ways to do it on the web.

Jeanne McCartin is a tireless art proselytizer. She writes the Spotlight Gossip Column and produces an arts video blog as her alter ego The Gossip Lady. Let her know when something new is happening in the scene! She’s always looking for new ways to support the arts. By the way, The Gossip Lady blogged about her impressions of the meet-up in a post called Geeks Rule!

Brian Turnbull showed off the potential co-working space site that he’s working on with Nick Plante. He is interested in recreating the energy of NH Media Makers in a permanent local, but he wants a name. If you name the space, then you will get a free month’s rent.

Jeremy Couturier is an illustrator interested in meeting new people who need pictures of… well… Chuck Norris kicking Godzilla in the face, for example. He’s looking for new opportunities.

P.T. Sullivan just re-launched his website PT35MM.com thanks to Nick Plante. The two met at NH Media Makers. P.T. is working with John Herman on a photography/Social Media art installation, filmmaker Ernest Thompson on a book, and brewer Jason Bourassa on web TV episodes explaining how to brew beer. He’s also a photographer for NH Magazine.

Fine artist Cynthia Woehrle from Worcester, MA is very excited about collaborative projects. She serves as a board member for Arts Worcester. She shared a bunch of events with the group, including stART on the Street, which attracted 35,000 people last year. Cindy blogged about the meet-up here.

Paul Foster occasionally writes for The Wire. He is looking for venues to show his short film, Grey Branches, which he described as 34 minutes of challenging images and music, a modern interpretation of a fairy tale. The group suggested several places including the Red River Theatres of Concord.

NH Media Makers founder John Herman is co-producing (with Ryan Plaisted) Odd Noggin Land, a surreal musical web video series (now featuring web comics and bonus videos!). He also finished his first album with The Murklins, consisting of organic beats inspired by words recently tossed from the dictionary. This month he’ll also be live casting the RPM Challenge Global Listening Party, remotely controlling cameras in several countries and cities. He was pretty blown away by this month’s turn out and promises more chairs next time. Seriously.

Ian Parker is interested in collaborating on all sorts of projects. He notes that he recently played a dead guy in a zombie movie. He’s up for consulting on zombies and the web.

Joe Goullaud is a recent college grad, software engineer, and aspiring filmmaker (who’s getting into video podcasting).

Jon Wellington is a comedian and videographer producing content for FreeHorsieRides.com He mentioned a project called Sandwich of Terror. He wants to write with people and for people. Len Hoover specializes in product design, refreshing your existing product, 3D models, and custom airbrushing.

Phil Kliger makes videos & music. He produced a bunch of albums for the RPM challenge. He invites people to listen to his radio show Fridays on WSCA 106.1 FM-LP. As of April 1st, he hopes to be contributing music and video to The Eiseman Report.

Nate Hastings manages bands and promotes shows with Big Duck Management. In the past, he’s worked with Higher Ground at The Music Hall of Portsmouth and promoted many shows for the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom.

Joseph K. Murphy is front man for the band Murkadee (which he notes is breaking up). Now he is composing music for UNH’s Health Services, and he’s looking for more composition work. Recently he released a music video shot by John Herman in Tokyo, Japan.

Larry Clow does a lot of writing. You can read his stuff at The Wire, Cinema Suicide, and Geek Force Five. He comes to the meet-up to… meet people, of course.

Leah Shaver is a web designer and photographer, who is having fun learning to use her new Cannon 40D. She is interested in design work rather than web development, and she took a moment to explain the difference. In late Spring/early Summer, she is producing a collaborative art show at Genius Switch Studios. Contact her for details about submitting your collaborative work.

Jon Briggs plays Fries on Odd Noggin Land. He participated in the RPM Challenge, and, with Phil Kliger and John Herman, displayed his finished album to the group.

Bryan White is editor of horror blog Cinema Suicide. And the most important thing for you to do right now is to support him with your vote in the horror blog category for the Rondo Horror Awards by March 21st. Seriously, do it. Bryan also mentioned a Keene group called Saturday Fright Special. He encouraged everyone to seek it out King Kong vs. Godzilla at the Colonial. Bryan also recently talked about community generated zombie films on NHPR’s Word of Mouth.

Larry Graykin and his wife Justine pitched a state of the art, broad in scope website that connects the NH arts community. It’s called Art Spider. They are hoping to attract a web designer who can bring the site to life. Larry comes from an education background. He’s also trying to open a charter school that features integrated discipline.

Justine Graykin talked about disconnect between the people who were very tech connected and people who are not but are still very creative. This is one of the reasons why Art Spider would be invaluable. She is a writer of speculative fiction, and she’s recording a web audio book. She believes we need to think outside the box about new and exciting ways to get art to the people.

Filmmaker Nick Edgar is involved with the production of “The Kingsmen’s Redeemer” on possibly the only RED one camera shooting in NH. Nick took a moment to explain the qualities of the RED for the group.

Monika McGillicuddy and her husband Jay, both of NHRealtyScoops.com, have integrated Social Media (blogging, Twitter, and Facebook) marketing in their real estate business. After the meet-up, Monika described he experience at the meet-up on her blog.

Jay McGillicuddy creates real estate websites with WordPress, and he is interested in learning more about CSS. After spending a lot of time with real estate types, he is admittedly very excited to get out and venture with New Media people.

Dave Lawrence recently started working with The Taproot Foundation, a group that links designers in the greater Boston area with non-profit organizations. Dave is also a freelance Ruby developer involved with the NH Ruby group (see sidebar).

Roger Goun is a photographer, political geek, and self described trouble maker. He’s working on a NH seacoast photo project, and he’s looking to collaborate with writers.

Tara Walker is a graphic designer who was recently let go at her job because of the economic downturn. She is artist, illustrator, and photographer. She is looking to focus on Actionscript.

Jeff Leombruno is a senior web developer at PixelMEDIA PixelMEDIA. He recently debuted BreastCancerStories.org, where people can share their stories and connect. If you know someone who might be interested, then please pass it on. He also invited everyone in the Portsmouth area to meet for a Geek Lunch the first Friday of every month at the Red Hook Brewery. Jason Barassa is an artistic beer brewer. For example, he experiments with using wine and spices instead of water. He owns a home brewing supply business in Suncook called Kettle to Keg. He has a lot of ideas and wants to learn ways to bring his ideas to life.

Brycen Couture is a musician, writer, and home-schooler running a small crafts business. He makes stuffed creatures called Feendz. Soon there will be a website. (Editor’s note: you should totally sell your stuff at Etsy!) He sings with a Portsmouth community chorus and the Phillips Exeter Academy Glee Club.

Laurie A. Couture, the author of Instead of Medicating and Punishing, a book contrasting parenting and teaching methods of primitive cultures with modern culture, is looking for a volunteer web designer, marketing plans, and any ideas that could get her book out to the public.

Jay Childs is involved in client branding, video and film work. He’s produced a documentary film used as curriculum support at Dartmouth Medical School. He also made a documentary about how young talented people are being pushed out of the Granite State. His new film hopes to take a fresh look at education. This time he wants to lead with a website. He also wants to learn to use Twitter to create dialogue about topics discussed in his work.

Chris Clark is the editor of geek blog Geek Force Five. He’s looking to put the 64 biggest geek obsessions and put them through a NCAA-inspired showdown. Christine Major recently began coordinating Portsmouth tweet-ups. The next one is at The Red Door. She also is consulting on The Brand New TV Show, ½ hour magazine style show in Portland, ME. They held auditions this past weekend. Christine hopes to produce some Seacoast NH segments for the show too. She is also excited to go to SXSW where she will be producing video interviews.

Garen Daily has done a bunch of stuff with film and the web. He produced the Boston Sci-fi Film Marathon. He’s reviewed films for NECN. Recently he’s also appeared on NHPR’s Word of Mouth. And he also runs FrugalYankee.com, a blog about enjoying life and spending less.

NHPR Executive Editor Jon Greenberg produced an interactive town meeting map featuring a Google mash-up with complete warrants for 107 NH towns. The work was done with four UNH grad students. The project aims to change the way people see the world around them. Next: Jon wants to create an interactive site on the global recession, which he believes is the biggest story of our lives. He hopes to offer a way people can chronicle the event with stories that span the state. He also wants to incorporate stimulus tracking from DC to the NH localities. And finally, he has a fun dream to geocache the letters “NHPR” in a way that captures the spirit of the state. Overall he is dedicated to creating platforms that allow individuals to contribute to their community in a meaningful way.

Artist Sebastian Gouveia is a painter and sculptor. He enjoys silk-screening. He heard about the meet-up through his teacher, Mr. Herman.

Georgene Nunn works for SellMyTimeShareNow.com in Dover. Last time she was at the meet-up, she was working on getting VC money, but now has the money has come in… so she is incredibly busy. She’s still looking for writers for her blog RadomKitty.net, and she PAYS BLOGGERS for their writing, so… you know… get in touch.
