  1. A couple of things I talked about at #NHMM yesterday.

I’m going to be the featured artist for April and May at the Seacoast Artists Association gallery in Exeter.

    Much more important:

I’m a member of the Board of Directors of the Exeter Theater Company, a non-profit organization that is working to reopen the historic Ioka Theater in downtown Exeter as a community theater. The building has been purchased at foreclosure auction by a philanthropist, Alan Lewis of Kensington, who has agreed to give us a $1/year 99-year lease if we can gather 1,000 paying members by March 31st. If we fail to reach the target, Mr. Lewis can do whatever he wants with the theater.

75 enthusiastic volunteers are in the process of making plans: putting together a business plan, developing a sample calendar of events, etc. But what we need most of all right now is you.

Help us meet Mr. Lewis’s challenge by becoming a member of the theater today. This is the best chance we will ever have to restore the 97 year-old Ioka Theater to its former glory as the center of cultural life in the Exeter area. Join today:

All membership contributions are being placed in escrow at Provident Bank in Exeter and will be returned to contributors if for some reason we are unable to reopen the theater.

  2. Hi again,

As John pointed out, I’m an illustrator from Newmarket, and I created one of the posters for An Evening of Apocalyptic Theatre.

I am also a contributor to Weird Fiction Records, who have created the The Philip K. Dick Philosophical Podcast. Hosts Adam Hulbert and Phil Young take on the daunting task of covering all of the short stories of PKD from the very beginning of his prolific career. I created the logo/crest for the podcast.

As always you can seek me out for commissions/collaborations at http://couturierillustration.com/ or https://twitter.com/#!/jcouturier
