This is another post in a series of posts about the people who attend NH Media Makers meet-ups. You could be featured next. Check out our NEXT MEET-UP Sunday, May.11 at 10 a.m. at Crackskulls. This will be our 6th Anniversary meet-up. Traditionally attendees bring something that can be given away as a door prize. Books, art, gift certificates, or strange objects found around the house are all welcome. It’s just a bit of fun, and, since it is Mother’s Day, mothers get double the chance to win. See you then!
Meet NHMM host John Herman. Six years ago this month, John decided to host a meet-up for creative individuals, organizations, and businesses in New Hampshire. It was inspired by meet-ups he was regularly attending in Boston and New York. The philosophy is that each attendee is the special guest. Each is offered equal time to address the room. About twelve people showed up to the first meeting of New Hampshire Media Makers, and now we regularly attract a crowd, people from as far as Rhode Island have to the meet-up looking to connect with New Hampshire’s artists, writers, entrepreneurs, designers, social media enthusiasts, actors, filmmakers, and the many others. We meet for coffee and a muffin the second Sunday of every month at Crackskulls in Newmarket. John is heavily involved in the creative scene. Among his many projects, he serves as president of the Board of Trustees of the NH Writers’ Project and this week he is hosting NH’s Business in the Arts Awards.
